About Capitol Risk Personal Security Training
Welcome to Capitol Risk Personal Security Training.
This is the personal security training arm of Capitol Risk - Security Risk Management.
Capitol Risk now provide personal security training for security professionals, frontline public sector workers and anyone who is serious about enhancing their own personal security.
When offering Personal Security Training, it helps that we are also a professional security company. We understand the risks both professional security officers and the regular ‘person on the street’ can be faced with; this is why all our personal security training is specific.
By "Personal Security Training" we mean exactly that. Whether you work in the security industry or want to enhance your own personal security, our personal security training courses are designed to give you the highest level of learning in course matter relevant to today.
Your instructor is fully qualified and experienced in teaching personal fitness, krav maga, first aid courses, various security courses (including SIA courses), and running security operations. Please view the Instructor Bio for more information.

Personal Security Training Designed with You In Mind
The aim of all our personal security training courses is to teach you core skills that you can take away with you and build upon. Realistic techniques that have been proven in real 'him or me' situations.
It's not just about the technique. While teaching you these core skills we also delve into the psychology behind attacks and cover in brief, both attacker and defender mindsets.
We add as much realism to the training as possible. Using props, scenarios and stress, you can really start to understand how to adapt the techniques we teach, to real life situations.
We Believe in Our Training
As an operational security company, we are happy to put the security officers we use on a regular basis through our various training courses at our expense. We want our guys and girls to be at the top of their game.
We are always happy for you to come and meet us. You are more than welcome to come down one evening when we are training as most of the people who are involved in teaching the courses will be there. Just give us a call.
Bespoke Security Training
If you have a particular interest in security training that is not listed on our web site, please contact us as we may still be able to help. If we can not personally meet your security training requirements, then we might be able to point you in the direction of someone who can. If you would like security training for your staff or a team, we are always happy to tailor courses to meet your specific requirement.

Course Costs
The price you see is the price you pay. The course costs are inclusive of VAT and TAX where applicable. This cost includes all training materials.
Unless stated, the cost DOES NOT include travel, meals or accommodation.
Discount Information
A 10% discount is available for holders of valid SIA licences and people who work in frontline public sector positions. These include but not limited to:
- Police Officers
- NHS staff
- Fire Service Personnel
- All Emergency Services
- Military Personnel
- Staff from other Government departments
To qualify for this discount, SIA licence holders must send us their licence number and present their licence on the day of training. All other persons who qualify for this discount must provide proof PRIOR to training. This can be done by presenting your official work identification to the instructor on the day of training.
For courses that are held outside the UK, proof will be required before you book the course.
If you think you may qualify for a discount but are unsure, please ask us before you make payment as we are unable to refund the difference.
Capitol Risk reserve the right to cancel this discount at any time. We also reserve the right to reschedule your booking if the above critera is not met. This discount can not be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special prices we may offer.
Payment, Refunds & Cancellation Information
We prefer taking payments using PayPal as it's a safe and secure method for both parties. You can pay by clicking the 'Pay Now' button at the bottom of the course you wish to take, or we can send you a payment request.
If you don't use PayPal just let us know and we can arrange an alternative payment solution.
Bookings
A commitment will be required from the person or company booking the course. This will be in the form of an up-front payment. Once processed, we will confirm this with you via email. The names of all persons attending must be given at the time of booking.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your place on a course, you must do this by notice of a letter of email. If this is done more than 28 days before the start date, no charges will apply. If you cancel within 28 days it will be subject to a fee of 100% of the course fee.
If you are unable to attend, you may send a subsititute in your place providing we have been notified in writing no later than 24 hours before the start of the course.
If Capitol Risk have to cancel a course for any reason, you will be offered either a full refund or to reschedule to the next available training course.
Refunds
Any refunds could be less any charges or commission encured by third parties ie Paypal. If you pay by paypal you will be refunded by paypal. We will refund the full amount you paid for the course.
Capitol Risk Personal Security Training Course General Information
Capitol Risk accept no liability for any loss of equipment or belongings. If you attend a Personal Security Training course, you are responsible for the care of any items. You are responsible for any items loaned to you. Damage caused by inappropriate use or loss will be charged.
The minimum age for all of our training courses is 18.
