This course is specifically aimed at those who work in Close Protection and those thinking of working in Close Protection.
Being able to defend yourself is one thing, but being able to intercept an attack that is focused at someone else is entirely different.
We know that Close Protection is all about keeping the principal safe by means of risk assessment, threat assessment and planning. But not every potentially violent conforntation will be a potential kidnap attempt. What do you do when a drunk takes a dislike to your principal because he pulls up outside a club in a chauffeur driven car? What about the fan who wants to hug the principal but then doesn't want to let go? What about guy who takes it personally when the principal bumps into him in at the bar? These are common situations that happen every day.
As a Close Protection Officer, you may be faced with a violent attacker at any time. The thing that is different is that this attack will be aimed towards your principal and not you.
The Krav Maga for Close Protection Course addresses this situation from the perspective of both the Personal Escort Section (PES Team) and the Bodyguard (BG) positions.
You will learn how to intercept both armed and unarmed attackers safely and quickly in order for your principal to get to a place of safety.
